  • 1. Can I take the course and exam online?
    ServSafe Manager Exam requires a proctor. The proctor is required to check the identification of the exam participant. This exam should be done in the presence of a registered proctor. We highly recommend you to find a certified instructor and registered proctor. Thus, you can do the class and exam from the same person.
  • 2. How do I take the course and exam?
    When you make an appointment with us, we will send you an email with some instructions to open an online account using www.servsafe.com website. Do not make any payment or purchase anything from this website. The email will also include some study materials. You can purchase a book from our online shop using our website. On the day of the class and exam, we will conduct a class and review all information. You can also bring a list of questions you have, and we will discuss them. Then we will conduct the exam (we will provide exam access code and proctor code). After the exam is over, we can grade the test right away and print the certificate if you pass.
  • 3. Will you come to our location if we have a group of participants?
    We will come anywhere in Greater Atlanta, Birmingham Alabama, Greenville SC, and Chattanooga TN for a group class. We go Nationwide if our host is willing to pay for the transport and accommodation. We are certified to conduct classes outside the United States too.
  • 4. What is the procedure to enroll for a class for a single participant?
    Please call us for an appointment/availability. We will include you in a class or arrange a one-on-one training and exam. To confirm your appointment, go to our website www.servsafegacobb.com and pay $50.00 in advance. Our online shop has the option to do so. This advanced pay will be deducted from the total cost, and you will only have to pay the rest of the amount at the time of the class.
  • 5. Do you give a discount for a group class?
    Yes, we do have a discounted price for a group class.
  • 6. I am starting a Cottage Business. What kind of certification do I need?
    ServSafe Food Handler training may be acceptable for a Cottage Business license. Any other business requires to get ServSafe Manager certification.
  • 7. Do you help to prepare for a food permit application?
    Yes, we do. There is a fee involved.
  • 8. Can you come to my facility to conduct an internal audit to prepare us for a regulatory audit?
    Yes, we do. There is a fee involved.
  • 9. Do you do ServSafe Alcohol safety class?
    Yes, we do. If you have a group, we will come and conduct a class and a paper exam. It takes about 10 days to obtain the result from ServSafe as we have to mail the exam answer sheets to ServSafe Chicago office.
  • 10. I just want to take the test, do not need to take a class. Do you proctor the test?
    Yes, we do. Please be sure to have your exam access code if you have purchased one. If you do not have one, you can buy one from us at a discounted price.
  • 11. How can I buy a Vomit Clean Up Kit? Do I have to have a procedure too?
    You can purchase one using our website. We will mail it to you. The procedure is free to download from our website.
  • 12. Where is your location?
    We are an Atlanta based Mobile ServSafe training provider. We come to your location or can include you in a class closer to your area.
  • 13. How long does it take to take the class and exam?
    We do the same day certification. Depending on your experience and preparation, the total time may vary.
  • 14. Will you come to our location to do hands-on Food Handler training for my staff?
    Yes, we do. There is a fee involved. Please call for detail price.
  • 15. Do you have any Spanish Materials to study?
    Yes, we have Spanish video materials for Food Handlers.
  • 16. How many questions are there in the exam? What is the passing score?
    There are 90 questions in the exam. The passing score is 70%
  • 17. Can I use my certificate in multiple locations?
    No. Certified PIC (Person in Charge) should be present at your operation at all operating hours. You should have at least one person certified for each location. If you cannot be present in the location at all operating hours, we recommend you to consider an alternate person certified.
  • 18. I am a proctor. Can I purchase exam codes from you?
    Certainly. We sell them in a discounted price for Proctors all over the United States.
  • 19. I took ServSafe long back. Can I just renew my certificate? Do I have to take the test again?
    You will have to take the test even if you have taken the exam before. The same online account can be used if you took the online exam before. We encourage you to take a class as well. There are changes over time.
  • 20. What kind of certification is required for a Food Truck business?
    You need a ServSafe Manager certification for starting a Food Truck.
  • 21. How do you take the payment?
    You can pay advance fee using our website www.servsafegacobb.com. We also take credit card (6% processing fee involved), checks, or cash.
  • 22. I failed the test using Proctor U. Can I retake the test with you?
    Yes, if you have failed one time using Proctor U, you can do the retake the test with us. There is a proctor fee involved in this process. If you want to do the class & test, you will need to pay the full regular fee. If you have failed two times using Proctor U. You will have to wait for 60 days to retake the test.
